I think this video comes from our brothers from down under.  Check it out and if you have any free time make your own “Knock and Don’t Run” clip and I’ll throw it up on my blog for you.

I Believe That We Will Win!

5 10 2010

I have been waiting 17 years for this! In 1993 I was lucky enough to be in Romney Stadium and watch as the USU students stormed the field and tore the goal posts out of the ground after a 58 to 56 victory! Ever since that day I have been planning on storming the field and tearing the goal posts down. Well, as you know, half of my dream was fulfilled this weekend when the Cougars came to Logan and got smashed! Simply put–they were humbled!
As usual, quite a bit of trash talk was happening between my friends from Provo and me.  It seems that they only ever run their mouths in football but never dare make any claims when it comes to basketball. I was told that there was no way we would beat the Cougars even though they suck horribly this year.  Bets were made and friendships were tested. Before I go too much farther I want it made clear, I love my friends and family who have chosen BYU to be the school they cheer for and attend but just like my friends who have problems with drugs or who are alcoholics I love you, I just hate the choices you have made.

This last week’s events have been fun but exhausting. Thursday night ESPN was on campus to film an episode of Storm the Dorm.  It was a fun little shoot where we talked a little about USU and the traditions we have here.  Following filming we all stayed up on the Quad and camped out. We handed out wristbands for the diehard fans that camped out and stayed all night. Friday we had breakfast on the quad and then tailgated at the stadium. There were so many fun activities before kickoff.  When game time was finally here I was just exhausted. I could not help but go crazy for the first two quarters. Finally with 5 minutes left in the half I was in need of a break. Coach Andersen is kind enough to let me sit in his office with his family during the game to regain some of my energy and let my heart catch up with the rest of me.

As the third quarter started I was standing on the balcony by this older gentleman.  I was trying to contain myself as we were taking the Cougars to school but I just couldn’t help myself.  I looked at that the older gentleman and realized he had a real sad look on his face so naturally I turned to him and said ” You do not look happy! You must be a BYU fan.”  His reply was simply “I am the BYU Athletic Director.”  I can’t tell you the joy that ran through my soul at that moment. HA HA HA sucks to be you!
I am extremely proud of the USU Football team right now and I want you to know that even after San Diego State I STILL BELIEVE IT!!!!!!! You hear that Ry Bay?! It was a huge win for us over BYU but we still have some big games coming up.  I have talked to a lot of the players and coaches and they have mentioned to me that the crowd was unbelievable and nuts. We need to stay behind our Aggies and support them. With crowds like we had this weekend we can’t be beat at home. Please continue to believe it just like me and join me for all the remaining home games and maybe we can plan a road trip to some of the closer away games! I love the Aggies and I love Cache Valley. Thanks for all of our support.  Let’s beat LA Tech this week!
Aloha,

Join the Ghosting Train and Win!

20 09 2010

Are you afraid of ghosts? Well, maybe you should be or at least you should watch your back on campus. My sister showed me this video about ghosting (The sport of choosing a target and following closely behind them as long as you can without being noticed) and I have been hooked ever since.  Ghosting is one of the greatest sports to emerge in this decade and since being introduced I have pretty much mastered the skills.  At times it’s a little tricky when the target decides to make a stop or make a drastic change in their route.  The other day as I was out ghosting, and I accidently gave my target a flat tire (Stepping on the back of someone’s shoe), needless to say I got a horrible glare as if to ask me just why the hell I was walking so close in the first place.

I have a few friends who have joined the ghosting movement and if you are ever lucky enough to catch a glimpse of us ghosting you could hop on and we could have a ghosting train.  Everywhere I walk I always keep a watchful eye over my shoulder just in case I’m the target for a fellow ghoster, you never can tell when someone might try ghosting you.  In fact the first person to successfully ghost me will win a $10 gift card to Pounders Hawaiian Grill.  I am a master ghoster now so good luck to all of you potential ghosters out there.

Coming up this weekend I will be hosting a dance-a-thon at the Fieldhouse with the Sigma Chi Fraternity to raise money for cancer research.  Come check it out and try to win tuition for next semester, an ipad, or an ipod.
Aloha,

Wild Bill

Mrs. Wild Bill Anyone?

15 09 2010

I just want to start out by saying CONGRATS to the women’s volleyball team. They beat BYU last night and have improved to 10 and 0 on the season. So proud of our women! Good job on going to BYU and beating them. They will be playing in the Gossner’s Invitational this weekend starting Friday at 10 am. Please go support our women and let them know we are proud of what they have done this year and that WE BELIEVE THAT THEY WILL WIN, WE BELIEVE THAT THEY WILL WIN, WE BELIEVE THAT THEY WILL WIN!!!!

Staying on the subject of Aggie athletics make sure you are able to go to the football game this week. We’re playing Fresno State (possibly last time we will play them here). It is a big game for us. We need this win and most of all we need to support our boys.  As far as the students go we had almost a capacity crowd for student tickets, the Aggie Stampede was so amazing. We had probably 500 students marching through campus getting loud and crazy! If you want to join us this week we will be meeting at the LLC at 3 pm on Saturday. We need more of the people from the valley. The team is good this year and will be a great team to watch. We might as well support them. Make sure you go to the BYU game. I remember going to the game when I was a small child and we beat BYU! The students rushed the field and ripped down the goal posts. We haven’t exactly had too many reasons to be ripping down goal posts in the recent past but I know we will this year!

Well my friends it s time for me to say goodbye but one last thing, don’t take facebook as gospel. I changed my relationship status yesterday to “engaged”. I have had a lot of calls and texts. It’s not true. I am still just me. But if any of you are interested in being Mrs. Wild Bill just hit me up.

Aloha
